Ballet for Beginners (Melissa Watt) 


A perfect introduction to this classical dance.  Melissa will gently guide you through feet and arm positions, alignment, and barre work.  Also, a perfect class if you took Ballet growing up and just want to get back into it! Absolutely no experience necessary.


Barre (Kim Mayberry)

Wednesdays 9-10am, Thursdays 12:05-12:55pm, Fridays and Saturday 9-10am

Dance-inspired exercises at the barre to strengthen and lengthen your muscles. The class mixes flowing movement, cardio bursts, light weights with high reps, balancing work, isometric exercises, core strength, mat work, and lots of stretching.


Belly Dance Technique  (Catherine Dafoe and Kim Mayberry)

The ideal place to start to learn the art of Oriental Dance. Foundations of technique, musical knowledge and the cultural roots of the dance are presented. Also suitable for dancers of all levels looking to polish their skills.


Intermediate Belly Dance Technique  (Catherine Dafoe and Kim Mayberry)

Further your technique, musical and cultural knowledge and learn a choreography with the option to perform. Suitable for dancers who have taken at least a full year of classes or several workshops. 


 BooTy® (Tara Newbigging & Cindy Clark)

Wednesdays 5:20-6:20pm and MONDAYS 12:05-12:55pm

The BooTy™ program combines high intensity fitness moves with powerful music and movement creating a perfect balance between intensity and fun! Woman walk away feeling STRONG, SEXY, and EMPOWERED to live their most authentic lives! Classes are open to Dance for Joy pass holders as well as BooTy™ pass holders.


Budo Taijutsu (Marc Geestman)

Mondays 8:00pm 

A broad-based martial arts training. The classes are held in a supportive, fun, non-competitive atmosphere with the emphasis on safety. The reason for this is because the techniques we will be training in are real and have not been adapted for use as a sport. The training is focused on getting the skills to defend self and others, maintaining a compassionate attitude toward others, and to cultivate a natural lifestyle. The classes are open to participants ages 14 and up, regardless of gender, health, sexual orientation or cultural distinction.


Burlesque (Myka Breymann and Kim Mayberry)

Tuesdays 8:30pm 

Pure seduction, this class will help you to master intoxicating dance moves you have only seen on stage (or in your dreams). Learn to use your body to tease, tantalize and titillate your way to surrendering to the music.  Bring your heels, feathers and besties, and be prepared to fall in love...with your reflections. No dance experience necessary.


Capoeira (Vicente Frias)

Thursdays 7pm 

Capoeira is a Brazilian art form that combines elements of dance, martial arts, acrobatics, and music. Sometimes referred to as a game, capoeira is a dialogue of movement between players. It builds strength, agility and rhythm.


Cardio & Core (Kiley Torti)

Get ready to sweat and burn! This class will offer an interval-style workout working the heart and lungs with creative cardio drills followed by total body conditioning exercises to build muscle and strengthen the core. Every class will finish with flexibility training for a complete workout. All levels are welcome.


Classic Dance Technique (Melissa Watt)

Fridays 7pm (starts Sept. 29)

Did you take dance growing up? This is your chance to dance again! Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary warm ups, barre, across-the-floors and combos will all be explored in this class. Body conditioning, technique and expression will be a focus.


Couples Dance (Margarita Montaner)

Add some sizzle to your dance repertoire. Everyone can learn to dance and benefit greatly from the physical, mental, emotional and social enhancements this activity offers. Latin dancing allows for stress relief, muscle toning, strength and flexibility. Margarita will introduce you to a variety of basic steps, technique and simple choreography to Latin dance rhythms such as Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Cha-Cha-Cha, Bachata, Tango, Rhumba and more. We will focus on a different dance style each class. Improve your coordination and gain confidence on the dance floor. Experience not necessary. All levels are welcome 6 weeks $60 per person or DROP IN. Having a partner is preferable for this class, however please let us know if you are a single dancer, we have had interest from both single men and women, if we have even numbers you are welcome to attend.


Dance Conditioning (Kim Mayberry)

Shake it out, work it out, stretch it out! A varied and effective class for fun, fitness and stress relief. Class will include a warm-up, cardio blasts of World Dance, a ballet-barre inspired toning section, and a substantial stretch and calming cool down. This combination of movement will sculpt long, lean muscles - you’ll feel and see results! Great for everyone - no dance experience necessary.

Bring your BFFs and join Joe for a fabulous and ridiculously fun choreography class! And don't forget, you can book a Private Class for Joe for your Christmas Party, Birthday Party, or just for a FUN night out with friends!


Family Fit (Kim Mayberry)

Fridays 10:30am-11am; $5 per family

Come move and groove with your little one(s) in a blend of dance, fitness, stretch, stories and songs. Fun for the whole family! As a community builder, all families can drop in to Family Fit for only $5!


FIT CORE (Fiona Groves)

Fun Interval Training with Fiona Groves. Fiona's classes will challenge you to step outside your comfort zone, but you will be having so much fun doing so that you won't even notice how hard you are working!

Hip-Hop is all about the music, attitude, and having fun! Learn all the grooves and moves from locking, popping, and breaking.


Irish Dance (for Kids and Adults) (Kathleen O'Brien)

Thursdays 5-5:30pm (Kids ages 6-12) 5:45-6:45pm - Adults

Class Description – Irish dance is a traditional form of dancing popularized in the 1990s by Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. It has both the elements of ballet and tap because of the dances performed in the two different types of shoes, the soft shoes and the hard shoes. It is a fun, athletic form of dance that anyone can participate in!

Come Join Marc "Tracker" Geestman for a fun, safe, action packed martial arts class specifically designed for kids! Work on skills taken from Judo, JuJutsu, Taekwondo, Boxing and Ninjutsu. Train to become more aware, flexible, strong and skilled. This class is open to boys and girls ages 8-12.


Mountain Fit (Candice Drouin)

DROP IN CLASS    - Watch for upcoming dates

Uprise Performance Coach Candice Drouin will lead you through a full-body workout with a focus to get you strong for your mountain sports. Class will include a functional movement assessment, strength component, conditioning, and mobility. Come get fit for sport!


Pilates (Robin Gerrie)

In this Pilates mat work class we will utilize a system of controlled core movements which work to balance and condition the body and the mind. The Pilates method blends strength and flexibility to improve posture, reduce stress and create long, lean muscles without the bulk. We will place focus upon Pilates' six main principles of Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath, and Flow.

World Dance for Adults (Kim Mayberry)

World Dance for Kids (Kim Mayberry)

An opportunity for children to be introduced to dance forms and music from around the world including African, Belly Dance, Bollywood, Capoeira, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Latin, Polynesian and Creative Movement. The focus is fun, fitness and creative expression.


Zumba (Maria Guilhon)

Zumba fuses high-energy Latin Music and hypnotic rhythms such as Salsa, Cumbia, Cha-cha-cha, merengue, reggaeton, samba and more with unique moves and combinations that will allow you to dance away your worries.
